Part I – Key Decisions

ABOUT

Part I of this toolkit will guide you through making three key decisions around the set-up of your seed grant programme through prompt questions and case study examples. The answers to each key decision typically intertwine, so we recommend reading this section in full before making any decisions. In this way, you will be able to consider all the different prompt questions and gather input from potential Champions and other stakeholders before deciding.

OBJECTIVES

The objectives of this section are to:

  1. Introduce the first three key decisions of setting up a seed grant programme, and present case study examples of how other organisations have done so in the past.

  2. Guide you and your organisation through the decision-making process of the first key decisions, which will form the foundation of your seed grant programme.

  3. Equip you and your organisation with materials and resources to facilitate reflection and brainstorming sessions around the key decisions.
